, United States- Cherryland Cut Stone & Marble Company was started in 1959 by Carl & Marion Safronoff. Richard and Wanda Dillon purchased the business in 1992, and Tom Dillon join his father as Vice President in 1993. Together they expanded the granite and marble fabrication and installation segment of the business.
With the passing of his father in 1999, Tom took over as President, and in 2001, became the sole owner of the company. He and his staff further expanded the granite and marble division, and tripled the landscaping and building stone inventory to meet regional demand. Today the company offers the largest selection of all-natural stone in northern Michigan, and specializes in Buechel Natural Thin Veneer stone.
